Scan in the Fetal Evaluation Dept. located on the 2nd floor of the Main Hospital near the green elevators. Days and times will be emailed to you each week
Scan 1 day with echo tech and interpret with cardiologist in echo lab
Scan 1 day at Akron Children’s ED with Dr. Danielle Paulin (dpaulin@akronchildrens.org). Contact her to arrange time
Remaining hours scheduled at your discretion for a total of 50 EUS hours
Successfully perform US-guided central line during rotation. Record video clip on US machine and submit via Q-path. May schedule time in Sim Center for practice if needed
If you need further exposure in certain areas, feel free to schedule time with radiology, cardiology, pediatric radiology and OB as you did in first year
Complete ACEP Ultrasound Quizes - Aorta, Cardiac, Gallbladder, GU, DVT, Lung, and Ocular. Print results and place in EUS binder
Continue to log and save scans done during clinical shifts in Q-path and submit for QA
At end of rotation, turn in EUS binder to Angie South
Up to date Ultrasound Requirements in Google Sheets.
